The history of the HKSIR

The Society was founded in 2000 and was incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance on 5 January 2001. Being a charitable institution of a public character, it is exempt from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.


The objectives of the HKSIR

 

1.     To engage and support education, research, study and survey in respect of issues relating to interventional radiology.

 

2.     To promote and establish close contacts among medial professionals who are interested and working in the field of interventional radiology.

 

3.     To promote honourable interventional radiology practice, and to establish an ethical and health environment for the practice of interventional radiology in the interest of the general public of Hong Kong.
